Derek D. Rollins
Expertise and Experience
Derek Rollins’ principal areas of practice are commercial and bankruptcy-related litigation (including adversary proceedings), with a special focus on automobile dealerships, financial institutions, and creditors’ rights. Mr. Rollins routinely represents businesses and individuals in a wide range of commercial disputes in state and federal courts throughout the country. Such disputes regularly involve claims for breach of contract, lender liability, deceptive trade practices, business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, interference, and employment-related matters involving trade secrets, non-compete, and non-solicitation.
Mr. Rollins is a member of the Dallas and American Bar Associations, the State Bar of Texas, and the National Association of Dealer Counsel (NADC).

Derek likes to spend his free time traveling with friends and family. He also enjoys playing Texas Hold ‘Em, which he says has proven useful for litigation matters. He also claims to be the biggest Parrothead in Texas – not only has he seen Jimmy Buffett more than 30 times, he joined the Margaritaville troubadour on-stage for a performance in Los Angeles.
