Michelle A. Morgan
Expertise and Experience
Michelle’s specialty is employment law. She routinely works with clients on counseling and litigation issues. She advises businesses on managing employees, including hiring and firing issues, structuring compensation, and compliance with various federal laws such as the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Title VII, as well as state employment laws.
In addition to counseling clients on compliance matters and strategies to avoid claims, Michelle also represents clients in cases involving discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract, covenants not-to-compete, and employee theft and trade secret litigation. Michelle also represents clients in administrative matters involving government agencies including, but not limited to, the Texas Workforce Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.
Michelle has been Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2001 and is a frequent speaker on employment law issues.
Michelle is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Dallas Bar Association, and the William “Mac” Taylor American Inn of Court. She is a Fellow of the Texas Bar and Dallas Bar Foundations, organizations that are dedicated to philanthropic efforts that support the legal system.
In addition to her involvement in legal organizations, Michelle has coached basketball in the Dallas Parochial League since 1993. After 16 years coaching various girls’ teams at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic School in Irving, Texas, she transitioned in 2011 to coaching at St. Monica Catholic School in Dallas, Texas her home parish, where she has coached boys’ teams ranging from 6th grade to 8th grade. She is also a member of Altrusa International of Downtown Dallas, helping them support their mission of “Educating Families for a Better Future”.
Michelle has served on the firm’s Management Committee since 2014.

Michelle is a Dallas native and graduate of Ursuline Academy. She is very proud of her nieces and nephews, and grateful that most all of the 11 of them live in the metroplex, and enjoys spending time with them and their children (totaling 12 and counting!). When not practicing law or coaching basketball, Michelle can often be found watching college football, out on the lake, or on a travel adventure with family and friends.
