Lauren M. Spahn represents the legal and business interests of recording artists, songwriters, publishers, producers, managers, agents, executives, record labels, musicians, networks and other entertainment industry clients. Lauren also handles complex transactional matters related to copyright, trademark and intellectual property law. Prior to joining Shackelford, Zumwalt & Hayes in 2014, Lauren gained extensive experience in intellectual property and entertainment law issues while working for various entertainment companies, including Warner Music and AEG Live.

Ms. Spahn currently serves on the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Board, where she is a Co-Chair for the Arts Immersion Gala. She provides pro-bono legal services to low-income artists and musicians through Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts. Lauren is also a member of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences and the Country Music Association.

While in law school, Lauren was a member of the University of Miami Moot Court Board, an editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review, a member of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society, and Vice President of University of Miami Corporate Law Society. She also served as a Research Assistant to Professor Stephen Schnably.
